Purpose and faq

Hello everyone!I'm Meri, the creator of the Forbidden Fruit Zine.As you might or might not be aware, recently the mood in the general fandom can be generally... for profit and overly puritan. The zine is an attempt to come back to our roots and create something that is for fun and for everyone.Therefore I want to invite you all to contribute to a zine: as an artist, writer, a cheerleader or just a local lurker that is somehow a cryptid. It's a place for like-minded people who are a little bit of freaks and miss the times when you didn't have a mob of angry teenagers at your door for being problematique.Okay so now we have a semi-introduction, let's get to some questions.1. Do I have to be an adult to participate in the zine?
Yes you do. That one is non-negotiable, I'm covering my ass, your ass, and everyone else's ass. If you're a minor, please leave. If you decide to stay, you do it out of your own avail. I'm telling you this is not a place for you, if you click more 'out of curiosity' it's your damn fault. It's like lying about your height on a roller-coaster. If you fall off, you can only blame yourself.2. So what kind of zine is that?
It's a non-profit, fully-digital, multifandom zine for all of us terrible dirty pro-shippers.3. Will it be possible to publish anonymously/under a different alias?
Yes. We all know moods in the general fandom and so to protect everyone that feels unprotected can post under a different name or with no nickname at all.4. Will ocs be allowed?
Yup. Go wild.5. If it's 'free speech' why can I write something with incest and not something homophobic?
I'm gay. Also I think there's a difference between exploring dark themes in fiction and being an ass. Also it's my zine. Go cry about it.6. Can I not be a contributor and still join the discord server?
Yeah sure, just DM me.

RULES and REQUIREMENTs

RULES1. You need to be of legal age to join the zine. I will not check anyone's ID but it is not a place for minors. As I said, if you decide to deceive us and join even though you're a minor, it's on your own risk. There will be content that is not for you and you are not wanted here. It's an adult-only space. If I find out you joined even though you're not of legal age, you will be kicked out.2. If you're an adult you need to understand that there's a difference between fiction and reality. I cannot stress it enough.3. Now just don't be an ass. Here we go.4. If you decide to join and then have problems with keeping the deadlines, just let me know. Nobody will be mad, nobody will be disappointed. We're all adults and I can make exceptions and we can make things flexible for yall.5. It's mostly about the community.REQUIREMENTSOk what do you need to join the zine.1. The theme of the zine is forbidden fruit. You might do what you want with that.2. The work can be as fluffy or as dark as you wish it to. We will be asking for trigger warnings, though.3. As the zine is multifandom + ocs, we will be asking you for short info about fandom/characters/setting.4. For writers the works will be 500 - 10k words.5. For artists it will be one-two pages of illustration/sketches/full colour.6. I'd love to see 3 different works of yours. It can be send as a link to your ao3/portfolio, it can be separate works. If you currently do not have 3 works you want to showcase please say so and we will see what we can do about it!7. If you think you're not good enough, still apply. The focus of this zine is on community. I think either way, we can find a place for you.8. There will also be a role of a cheerleader for people who specifically want to help with motivating your peers!9. No matter how dark and fucked up your previous work is - you will not be eliminated because of it. I might not understand your kinks but yanno what, not everything is for a small simple me to understand.10. HAVE FUN!!!
